Expect the Unexpected
“I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:20-21
Paul expects courage. He expects to have and need courage so that he doesn’t mis-live. The question for us this new year is: What do we expect? What would our lives look like if we lived in such a way that we had to expect to have courage. Because we have embarked on such journeys that we need it.
Passage: “20 as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
