The Resurrection of Hope
The Easter story is the story of a God that is willing to pay the ultimate price. A God who embedded Himself into our story and joined us in our suffering so that we can have hope again. For two thousand years, the followers of Jesus have called this the Gospel. The idea that through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, God has set in motion a new thing, that death no longer has the last word, that one day, God is going to put an end to evil, that things are not going to be like this forever, and that the same thing that happened to Jesus, will one day happen to those who believe in Him.
Passage: Born Again to a Living Hope
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
