This spring we want to host an event called Generosity Feeds to children in need in our community all in one morning! We will need a lot of help making this event happen! If you're interested in getting involved or want to learn more, please follow the link below to sign up.
Join us Thursday, December 13th for our first ever Gingerbread House Decorating Party! We will order the pizza and provide the gingerbread houses, all you have to do is bring a bag of some sort of candy to use to decorate the house, it’ll be sort of a topping potluck.
Join us this Sunday after the service at our new meeting location for an opportunity to check out the place before the launch, answer any questions you might have and also share with all of you all the great opportunities to volunteer and get involved in this next season. So we want to invite you to join us this Sunday after the service for a Family Meeting at the new location. We will provide lunch! Hope you all can make it! Just let us know you’re coming.
Tubman Elementary has asked us to help provide backpacks for the start of the school year. We have committed to provide at least 20 backpacks by the first day of school on August 20. You can bring a new or gently used backpack to church next week or donate online and we'll buy them and deliver to Tubman. See or e-mail Meghan with questions: email@example.com.
If you're new to Encounter or would like an opportunity to learn more about our church, story and leadership we would love to invite you to join us at our Welcome Lunch on Sunday, July 29th at 11:45am right after our service. We will get together to get to know each other and for you to have an opportunity to ask questions and hear from some of our leaders.
Want to watch the World Cup Final with us? We're hosting a watch party after our service on July 15th at El Tio Tex-Mex Restaurant. Come worship with us (at El Tio as well) at 10am and then stay after to watch the game. It'll be a time filled with fun, cheering, food, community, and rivalries :) Let us know if you're coming so we can plan accordingly.

On Friday, June 22nd, the community organization, District Bridges, will be screening Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs at the McCormick Paint parking lot in Mount Pleasant to the community. As a partnership with the organization we have been giving out free popcorn to anyone who comes and we are doing it again! Join us to be with us under our tent and to give out popcorn, it'll be fun and you get to watch the movie!

Encounter will again have a booth at the festival and we need (and would love) your help to be at the booth with us to interact with the community and hand out free goodies!

The ANC from our community is hosting a cleanup for our neighborhood on Earth Day (April 21). Some members of our church are volunteering and we'd love to have all of you join us in loving our community, wear your Encounter t-shirt and help us clean our neighborhood!

But what if God is actively working in renewing the world, and we can see evidence of that in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection? This Easter, we invite you to come hear about the hope that Jesus brings and how He is restoring all broken things at our Easter Service!
